“The Queen of Cups acts as a mirror and reflects the depths present in others, so they see themselves in a new light. Most times, the Queen of Cups can also represent the trusted inner voice you have within you. She seems to say that you should take the time to focus on your emotional health before trying to help others. Self-love creates compassion.”

I must admit that reflecting on my life with each card can be a struggle. Since I’m actively being vulnerable and homing in on certain memories, it could be said that – in a way – these writings and illustrations are my own forms of self-love.
Whether it be generally in my life, my career, or relationship, I’ve always put effort in to adopt a semblance of emotional healing and compassion. Sometimes I forget that this career I have in mind stemmed from a loving hobby of drawing from my imagination, and that I should remember that in my current life more.
I feel that it’s often problematic for creative practitioners to slip into deadlines and not enjoy their works anymore, but the constant reminder of how I got here is how I always find enjoyment in my illustration journey.
To put it in simply and succinctly, the value of this card is a resemblance of the emotional care I have for my career, and the memories they hold.
