This card was dealt to me for an obvious reason, and it’s likely to do with my goals and ambitions for my career. I’ve noticed how the Eight of Pentacles is a card heavily displayed around efforts being rewarded with potential success, which helps me align my goals with these attributes.

The reason why I initially became an illustrator was to be a published author and illustrator. I’ve always wanted to cultivate stories and narratives that resonate with the youths of today and the current contemporary sphere. Growing up under this impression, I’ve always been made aware of how competitive this industry is, and I’ve also discovered that my favourite authors may have not had the luxuries of creative freedom interpreted in their published works.

I believe that this is why it’s important to keep a keen, open eye in the industry that I plan to integrate myself into, and to always be aware that I don’t have to restrict my goals to one destination. Saying that, I’ve found a passion for moving image work, animatics and even audio work too.

The value and relevance of this card is that either way, it’s not going to be easy at all, but if I try my best, I’m sure I’ll have the satisfaction to look back on my life and be proud of what I’ve achieved.
