“If you are looking to invest, the Seven of Pentacles suggests that you are ready to put in a lot of effort, time and work into whatever you want to achieve. It reaffirms you of your long-term vision and helps to show that you are not confined to seeing results in the short term only. It shows how much you value the investment because of the effort that you are willing to put in.”

There’s lots of pentacle cards in my reading… interesting? The final card to complete my tarot reading is the Seven of Pentacles, one that resonates with me indefinitely. It’s no doubt for me that I’ve invested a large portion of my life towards the industry of illustration. With all of the media that has inspired me to experiment with my own creativity, I can’t see myself being anything else.

At my core, I think that I was born as an illustrator, and I shouldn’t ever ignore how these attributes have influenced my wellbeing and happiness. I think that success is subjective to an individual, measured entirely by their own interpretation of self-satisfaction. If you’re happy enough with your family and friends seeing your pieces of work, then it’s arguable to state that you’ve succeeded in your goal.

What about me? What am I satisfied with?

The truth is, I’m not really sure yet. The reason why I kept working hard to cultivate my illustrations was to receive the praise and reactions from the people around me that I value and love. Maybe that’s enough? But what if I wanted more – to be able to have a roof over my head, held up by my illustrations?
