“If you have a goal or career in mind, things might not be going well in your career because you lack the confidence. Everyone views the world through their own lens; remember that someone else’s bias might cloud their vision of what you need. Trust yourself in your career.”

This is an interesting one. Being right after the Eight of Pentacles, perhaps this card could be telling me not to waste my efforts on making others satisfied. Being an illustrator is about cultivating a language that adheres to the client; this is possibly telling me that although this pays my rent, it won’t make me happy as a creative to constrict my visual language for the sake of others.

This card also talks of being passive and allowing other people’s opinions to cloud the aspects of leadership. I’ve always been very particular about the way my work is interpreted, and maybe those aspects can influence me in potentially harmful ways. So, I need to be aware and make sure of the notion that I’m happy with the way that my illustrations and writings are received and decoded by my demographic/clients.

It's obvious that this card is telling me that the future won’t be smooth, but should I prevail, I’d have tackled my inner challenges as well.
