So, all in all, what have I learned about my own reading? Was it accurate? Am I merely influenced by the Barnum effect?

Well, yes, I’m definitely influenced by the theory of the Barnum effect – it’s human nature to align yourself with a vague interpretation and build your own narrative from it. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that my discoveries were worthless, or that they should be forgotten, buried, never to be dug up again.

I believe – wholeheartedly – that it’s crucial to express your memories and emotions through some form of creative avenue. It aids in the ideas of self-healing, and allows you as an individual to intentionally turn those vulnerabilities into a product of pride.

Challenging your inner memories from childhood - to present day - to the potential future can only have a “positive” outcome.

As a matter of fact, the reflection on negative memories can only influence you positively in the long-term, for it is the acknowledgement of how much you’ve grown and achieved that has allowed you to act on those memories in the first place.
